A little about me. I love to write, but I'm not a writer. I love adventure, but I'm not an adventurer. I'm definitely on the downhill slope of life, as in over the hill. At this point in life though, I know the difference between what truly matters and what is, quite frankly, nothing more than an illusory mirage. I don't have an agenda and I'm not looking to go viral, get sponsorships, or sell anything. I am the proverbial "Average Joe" and have never been an expert at anything.

My motivation for creating this site is two-fold. Firstly, I have such a profound wonderment for nature. And even though I feel such awe in the midst of its wildness, I can't help but feel a part of it. I love the outdoors and the endless opportunities it has to offer. I've received such healing and fulfillment simply by going places where I could breathe deep, and listen to my own heart beat.

I want to share that.

Secondly, I want to leave something of myself for my loved ones. A record of my adventures to reminisce upon. I want them to know that when I was hiking in the mountains or sleeping in a tent in the wilderness, I wasn't just living, I was alive!
